This weekend, Ashish had decided to go to his hometown to visit Mom and Dad. He was going to leave early morning..and we wanted to have breakfast (or at least coffee) together. So we decided to meet up at Starbucks(that is the only coffee shop which opens at 7am :O). Needless to say, it was a fun morning.
What I saw when I stepped in was a lovely, little Christmas tree on the corner of the counter. There were Christmas goodies neatly placed near it, setting up mood for the celebration of Christ's birth..

I have always loved the ambience there. The crepuscular lighting, art on walls, vintage bulbs..it has a soothing feel to it. The oak-wood chairs are a bit taller than usual but have a bar between their front legs for resting feet. Good for petite people like me. Tables are tiny on the ground floor.
Upstairs, there are large tables and sofas. I would say, it was a comfortable sitting arrangement...that kind of one which does not distract from neither the food/drink nor the conversation.
At first, I was going to order Starbucks Signature Hot Chocolate. But then I saw that Kiddies Hot Chocolate was also on Menu. I asked the Barista about the difference. He told me that it does not contain coffee and comes only in short size. I decided to give it a try (well, you could say I am still kid at heart :P). Ashish as always ordered Hazelnut Cappuccino.
And boy, I loved the hot chocolate. Although it wasn't the best I could ever have..still its the second best.. (The most delicious was The Swiss Hot Chocolate at Barista Lavazza on Law College Road).
